Wishes

I once heard someone say, "Be careful of what you wish for". Agree? I do. There's no use in getting a wish come true and then regretting it. Well, if my wish came true, I'd jolly well be thankful for it. Wishes don't usually come true by themselves. You've got to work for them. I guess this whole idea of a wish come true is just to give one a little hope in life? I mean, come on man, you want something, and you have to work for it. You don't sit around waiting for money to drop from the skies, do you? You can't really be the top scorer in the PSLE or O-Levels without working for it, can you? No way. The world doesn't work like that. I mean, hey, wishes are just that tiny hope that keeps you going. In other words, wishes are goals we want to reach + the little steps to get there. It's that simple. And I'll go on wishing and hoping.
