Why have a site?

I started designing websites a few years ago, when I first picked up HTML. At first the pages had really simple layouts, that was when I first started out. Then slowly, the designs 'evolved' and became more sophisticated. This site is what all the past experiences are, with experimental designs and layouts. The main reason to having a site like this is simple - it is fun and challenging. Since web designing is my main hobby, then why not have a site? You have to put in a lot of work and commitment into designing a website, and that makes more fun. The challenging part is coming up with new layouts and having them up on the Net. And the rewarding part - when people like your site. It's that simple, really.

Why is this site called 'Cascading'?

This is the tricky bit to explain. 'Cascading' itself, to me, is a confusing word. Obviously it comes from the word 'cascade', which in itself has more than 2 definitions. To me, 'cascading' means falling down or dropping, not the nail on the head, but a foot-step away from the definite. Cascading came to me when I was racking my brain and squeezing out all my creative juices for a new layout. Too bad only the title came. The site had been on hiatus before that. A few hours before, I had gone to the swimming pool - and fell down. Not in the water, but where the seats were, on land. After that, 'Cascading' seemed perfect.
